About me

Hi, I’m Tom. I’ve spent the last decade building tech and data teams. Currently, I serve as Head of Data Engineering for the UK’s largest private education provider.

My background is in software development, but my wheelhouse these days is data strategy and architecture. I love seeing the big picture and designing platforms that can handle real-world scale.

That said, I think the code is usually the easy part. My primary focus is leadership. I try to build the kind of environments where teams actually enjoy their work; removing roadblocks, cutting down on bureaucracy, and making sure smart people have the space to do what they do best.
